About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team as a Turnover Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major high tech construction project in Cork, Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of the facility from construction to operational phase.
The role requires a strong understanding of commissioning and handover processes, as well as excellent organizational and coordination skills.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, minimum 10 years' experience in relevant field, and proficiency in digital platforms for structuring, collecting, and storing turnover information.
The salary range for this position is €75,000 - €85,000 per annum, with opportunities for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilise engineering documentation and electronic data to define work scope and enable controlled commissioning and startup activities.
2. Transfer project responsibilities to the startup and commissioning organisation.
3. Gather and record exception items within agreed timelines.
4. Compile, organise, store, and hand over construction quality data books.
5. Define construction systems using P&ID's, electrical single line diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
6. Establish system handover dossiers and agree with client and design team.
7. Assist in setting up and maintaining engineering information systems.
8. Layout testing limits for piping test packs and provide specifications to contractors.
9. Define and specify all system test documents, coordinating inspection and acceptance by client and/or Commissioning Manager/Engineer.
10. Maintain files for original quality documentation and monitor contractors' performance.
11. Prepare testing, flushing, balancing, reinstatement, and follow-on work for various systems.
12. Coordinate instrument and electrical completions and transfer system-by-system as-built mark-ups to commissioning and operations personnel.
13. Work closely with startup/commissioning group to identify requirements and negotiate exception items for system acceptance.
14. Provide regular status updates to MEP Lead, reporting on system package completion and progress.
15. Consolidate punch list for system exception items and ensure comprehensive capture and sign-off for completion.
16. Coordinate release of piping work to follow-on trades.
17. Compile turnover dossiers in required format, facilitating smooth transition to next project phase.
