Create is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on a Maternity Cover basis (4 days per week).
The role of Finance Manager is crucial for providing quality services to artists and communities across Ireland and for the organisation’s smooth management and administration.
The Finance Manager role is busy, varied, and collaborative, offering an opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s development and success in supporting artists and communities across Ireland. It requires someone with strong financial and administrative skills and good interpersonal skills.
The salary will be €41,158 per annum (€51,448 full-time equivalent), with a 6-month probationary period. The deadline for applications is 5pm, Friday 25th July 2025.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the organisation’s financial operations.
Selected Duties
1. Manage and maintain accounts, budgets, cash flows, and reporting on funded activities.
2. Oversee financial management and accounting operations in accordance with current policies, including data entry, filing, processing payments, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records.
3. Manage contracts and liaise with suppliers and external contractors.
4. Assist the Director with finance, HR, company law, and charity governance.
The role requires strong communication skills, meticulous handling of financial and administrative tasks, and the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, artists, communities, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial management experience, familiarity with arts and/or charity sector funding, reporting, and compliance. They should demonstrate administrative skills, an understanding of equality, accessibility, health & safety issues, and an appreciation of arts and culture in communities.
