Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Area Sales Representative to develop and grow sales within a defined territory. The successful candidate will work closely with farmers, dealers, and distributors, managing the full sales process from lead generation through to after-sales support, while representing Pearson Milking Technology at customer visits and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate and develop new sales opportunities within an assigned area
* Manage and close sales leads while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and dealers
* Assist agents and dealers throughout the pre-sales and post-sales process
* Conduct regular customer visits and represent the company at trade shows and industry events
* Understand technical drawings and specifications and communicate these effectively to end users
* Coordinate distributor and customer visits to Pearson Milking Technology HQ in Athy, Co. Kildare
* Provide feedback from the field to support product development and marketing activities
* Maintain accurate sales records and reports
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in the agriculture or dairy farming sector is desirable
* Previous field sales experience is an advantage but not essential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Willingness to travel within the assigned area
* Full clean driving licence
* with travel to trade shows as required
