Due to continued growth and expanding opportunities within our industrial services division, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Safety & Health Consultant who is also competent to undertake the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, client-focused consultancy where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will work with high-profile productions, live events, creative projects, and industrial clients, helping to deliver practical and effective safety solutions.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide professional safety and health consultancy services across a range of sectors, including film production, television, entertainment, live events, construction, and industry.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing competent health and safety advice to clients.
Undertaking the role of PSDP in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations.
Preparing and reviewing Safety and Health Plans.
Conducting workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Preparing construction-stage documentation and project-specific safety documentation.
Supporting clients with statutory compliance obligations and the development of their safety culture.
Delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and client presentations.
Investigating incidents and preparing reports where required.
Liaising with clients, contractors, designers, and regulatory authorities.
Assisting with the continued growth and development of the consultancy's industrial and construction services.
Essential Requirements
Minimum Level 8 qualification in Occupational Safety and Health or a closely related discipline.
Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in a health and safety consultancy or similar professional role.
Demonstrable competence to undertake the role of PSDP.
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction regulations.
Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Flexibility in working locations and hours.
Desirable Requirements
Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. IOSH, SCSI, Engineers Ireland or equivalent).
Experience delivering health and safety training.
Additional qualifications in construction safety, project management, or environmental management.
Please note that experience in the film arts or events industry is not a requirement as it is not a principle part of the intended role.
