We are currently inviting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a reputable nursing home located in County Laois.
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced ADON who can effectively lead and support the nursing team while ensuring the highest standards of resident care, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
1. Support the Director of Nursing in the overall operational and clinical management of the nursing home.
2. Provide strong clinical leadership, promoting best practice and acting as a professional role model to all staff.
3. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centred care in compliance with Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards and regulations.
4. Supervise and support nursing and healthcare staff to maintain excellence in clinical practice and care delivery.
5. Contribute to audits, risk management processes, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
6. Participate in staff training, mentorship, supervision, and performance management processes.
7. Assist with roster planning, staffing coordination, and effective resource allocation.
8. Assume the role of Person in Charge in the absence of the Director of Nursing, ensuring continuity of safe and effective service delivery.
Requirements
9. Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration in good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
10. Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a senior nursing role within a nursing home environment.
11. Previous management or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
12. Strong working knowledge of Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards and Irish nursing home regulations.
13. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
14. Demonstrated commitment to high-quality care with a genuine passion for supporting older persons.
