Financial Accountant at Aptiv
As a Financial Accountant at Aptiv, you will play a key role in controllership over assigned entities and support the Finance Supervisor with complex transactions overview. You will work within the EMEA Corporate Finance Team and report directly to the Finance Supervisor.
Your Role:
* Maintain US GAAP and local ledgers, including the preparation and review of related journal entries and reconciliations.
* Prepare and review financial and accounting analysis involving complex transactions, including general accounting, fixed assets, intercompany, and financial reporting activities.
* Prepare Standard Operating Procedures & Flow charts for processes in scope.
* Review month-end close and ensure compliance with local standards and policies.
* Perform local GAAP accounting close and reconciliations.
* Coordinate with external auditors, tax departments, and service providers.
* Manage the statutory reporting calendar.
* Support corporate income tax provision calculations and returns.
* Handle miscellaneous reporting filings (e.g., statistical reporting).
* Identify and implement improvements in processes, compliance, and quality.
* Serve as the key contact for all Record to Report activities for the affiliate.
* Guide BPO in resolving accounting issues.
* Coordinate the financial close process for the affiliate.
* Perform other duties as required.
Your Background:
* Experienced (1-2 years PQE) qualified accountant; ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification, preferably with Big4/Top10 audit experience.
* Strong technical skills with the ability to understand complex accounting issues and models.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Experience with SAP or similar systems is an advantage.
