We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Plant Fitter to join our team in Dublin.
The Role
You will maintain, service, diagnose and repair plant machinery and small tools to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation across various Wills Bros sites in Dublin and Kidare region.
You will work on a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and undertake welding and fabrication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Service, inspect and repair plant machinery and tools (e.g., consaws, drills, compactors etc)
Diagnose faults on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using appropriate tooling and diagnostic equipment.
Perform welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG/arc as applicable) for brackets, guards, buckets, and minor structural repairs.
Complete preventative maintenance schedules, oil sampling, filters, fluids, hoses, pins & bushes, track/undercarriage work, battery/charging systems, and cooling systems.
Repair/replace hydraulic components (pumps, motors, rams, valves, hoses) and electrical components (looms, alternators, sensors, starters, lighting).
Complete service sheets, inspection reports and job cards accurately; update records.
Ensure work complies with manufacturer guidance, and company procedures.
Prepare plant for regulatory inspections; support third‑party inspections and rectify findings.
Requirement
A Minimum of 4+ years' experience as a Construction Plant Fitter or Mechanical Fitter.
Construction Plant Fitting/Mechanical Engineering qualification essential.
Strong experience in plant maintenance and small tools (incl. con saws and drills).
Competent in: Hydraulics, Electrical, Mechanical, Welding/Fabrication.
Ability to read technical drawings/manuals and follow OEM procedures.
Full, clean EU driving licence essential Comfortable with travel and various site work.
