Position Summary
The Data Protection Administrator is an administrative role, required to support Tuath's legislative obligations and demonstrate compliance with Data Protection Legislation. The role is responsible for ensuring all administrative systems and processes are operating and reporting to the highest standard for legislative compliance. The successful candidate will report to the Data Protection Officer and will work within the Corporate Services Department.
Position Summary

The role is responsible for ensuring all administrative systems and processes are operating and reporting to the highest standard for legislative compliance. The successful candidate will report to the Data Protection Officer and will work within the Corporate Services Department.
General Administration
Record and acknowledge all data subject access requests within predetermined legislative timescales and will assist in the review of the data subject access requests. This may include following up with relevant departments to respond to data subject right requests, and the redaction of personal data as/when necessary.
Maintain accurate and up to date register of data subject access requests, data processing activities, and data breach log, including details of investigations, advice and guidance.
Provide accurate and up-to-date statistics and information for management reporting.
Investigate reported data breaches, liaising with the various departments on behalf of the Data Protection Officer as necessary, and assist with follow-up actions and recommendations.
Develop data protection guidance materials and update the Data Protection SharePoint site, as well as disseminating relevant information across the business, and act as a point of contact for data protection queries.
Manage training logs and, as necessary, deliver internal training to staff on data protection obligations.
Support and Services
Manage the Data Protection mailbox, ensuring appropriate follow-up in a secure, timeline and confidential manner
Ensure efficient and effective administrative support to the Data Protection Officer
Assist with the preparation of policy and best practice guidelines, training materials and communications and, if necessary, deliver internal training on bespoke pieces of the legislation
Support the update, communication and adherence to Tuath's data retention guidelines
Organise, coordinate and follow up on meeting actions, including minute taking as required
Assist in developing and updating operational procedures to support the business e.g. Data Privacy Impact Assessments, managing data subject access requests, data breach management
Information Systems
Review, develop and maintain efficient and effective administrative processes in order to demonstrate compliance with data protection legislation
Liaise with IT as required to maximise the use of technology and ensure continuous improvements in data protection operations, including online data protection training opportunities
Maintain the data protection SharePoint site to support, manage and update guidance and documentation, staff communications including legislative guidance and templates to support business requirements
Other
Any other duties as assigned by the Data Protection Officer as appropriate
Requirements
Relevant third level qualification or equivalent
Administration experience, with a proven ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated expertise in preparing written documents and reports within tight deadlines
Proficient in ICT packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint etc.
Strong level of communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Flexibility and adaptability, with problem solving capabilities
Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Desirable
Understanding of data protection legislation
