Job Overview:
The role of Financial Operations Specialist is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes within an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* To manage and oversee the entire billing cycle, addressing any queries or discrepancies that may arise.
* Control and maintain credit facilities for B2B corporate clients, working closely with them to set up payment plans.
* Resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
* Manage and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Reconcile bank and account statements, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or errors.
* Prepare tax returns for submission, meeting all relevant deadlines and regulations.
* Continuously improve financial processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
* Prepare and finalize accounts at month and year-end, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Perform bookkeeping tasks, including processing accounts payable and preparing monthly accounts for review.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in a similar financial operations role.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and analytically.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
* A high degree of initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A recognized qualification in finance or accounting, such as ATI certification.
* Desirable: prior exposure to B2B credit or billing, strong knowledge of accounts and bookkeeping in an SME environment.
