About Your New Job
Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machines (including Swiss‑type sliding head lathes) to manufacture precision medical and orthopedic components.
Optimise CNC programs and processes, maintaining efficiency and uncompromising quality standards.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams on process development and continuous improvement for new, complex components.
Work with advanced materials including titanium and medical‑grade alloys using state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
Take ownership of projects— from prototypes to batch production—ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
Contribute your expertise to manufacturing innovation while maintaining high workshop and equipment standards.
What Skills You Need
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a CNC Programmer role, preferably in the medical device or precision engineering sectors.
Hands‑on expertise with Swiss‑type sliding head machines (Citizen, Star, Tornos or similar).
Demonstrable experience programming multi‑axis CNC machines (experience in 5‑axis, mill‑turn, or sliding head highly advantageous).
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, select appropriate materials, and deliver production‑process improvements.
Ability to take a drawing and create a CNC program from scratch.
Proficiency in Hypermill (certified), Mastercam, Esprit Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion360.
