Role OverviewATG are seeking a CAD Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support engineers in producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings and models for geotechnical and civil engineering projects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team on projects including foundations, retaining structures, ground improvement, and earthworks.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for geotechnical engineering projects.Assist engineers in the production of drawings for reports, design submissions, and construction packages.Manage and maintain drawing files in accordance with company standards and project requirements.Interpret engineering sketches, notes, and design calculations to produce clear, accurate drawings.Support the development of digital workflows and contribute to BIM integration where applicable.Liaise with project engineers and other team members to ensure design intent is captured.Assist with occasional site visits to gather information for design purposes.RequirementsQualification: Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, CAD Design, or related discipline.Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CAD Technician, ideally in a civil, structural, or geotechnical environment.Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD essential; experience with Civil 3D, Revit, or similar BIM tools an advantage.Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work to deadlines.Good understanding of civil and geotechnical engineering principles (foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, ground modelling, etc.) desirable.Excellent communication and organisational skills.
