Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our Carrigaline team. The role involves serving customers, filling cars with coal, firewood, and gas, while also maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. You will also be responsible for operating the forklift to load and unload trucks, ensuring stock is handled safely and securely.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve customers on site, assisting with loading coal, firewood, and gas into their vehicles
* Receive and check inbound stock deliveries
* Load and unload trucks using a forklift, ensuring loads are secure
* Maintain accurate stock levels and report discrepancies
* Complete end of day reports as required
* Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and in safe working condition
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes
Essential:
* 1+ year warehouse experience
* Forklift driving experience (valid licence preferred)
* Ability to take card and cash payments
* Excellent timekeeping and reliability
* Own transport to and from work
* Friendly, customer-focused attitude
Desirable:
* Manual handling certificate
* Previous experience in sales or customer service
