With a strong reputation for innovation and quality, we are seeking a passionate and visionary Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and continue pushing culinary boundaries.
Role Overview
As Head Chef, you will have full responsibility for the kitchen's performance – from designing inspired seasonal menus to leading a dynamic team and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen operations. You'll be a key part of the leadership team, contributing strategically to the continued success and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and execute innovative, seasonal menus using locally sourced ingredients
2. Lead, mentor, and inspire the kitchen team to ensure high performance and a positive work environment
3. Manage food preparation, portion control, and presentation standards
4. Oversee kitchen budgets, food costs, stock control, and supplier relationships
5. Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
6. Work collaboratively with the Executive chef and General Managers to deliver an exceptional guest experience
7. Drive creativity and development within the kitchen, including regular tastings, training, and menu development
8. Recruit, train, and retain high-calibre kitchen staff
Key Requirements
9. Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-end or award-winning kitchen
10. A strong creative flair with a deep passion for modern Irish and European cuisine
11. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
12. A deep commitment to quality, seasonality, and sustainability
13. Strong financial acumen – confident in managing budgets, margins, and KPIs
14. HACCP certified, with a thorough understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
15. A hands-on leader, calm under pressure, and solutions-oriented
