Job Summary
The Contract Analyst II supports the end-to-end customer contract lifecycle, partnering closely with sales, sales operations, legal, finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant contract execution. This role focuses on contract review, pricing and discount validation, process adherence, and operational support, helping enable sales productivity and consistent commercial outcomes. The analyst will apply judgment and experience to manage moderately complex contracts while contributing to continuous improvement of contract operations processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, prepare, and process customer contracts, order forms, amendments, and related documentation to support timely execution.
* Partner with sales, sales operations, legal, finance, and product teams to facilitate contract approvals and resolve issues related to pricing, terms, and compliance.
* Ensure contracts align with company policies, pricing guidelines, approval frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
* Support negotiation processes by identifying deviations from standard terms and escalating appropriately.
* Maintain accurate contract records and data within contract management and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
* Assist with pricing and discount validation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to approved structures.
* Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, or recurring issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of contract templates, playbooks, and documentation.
* Support reporting and analysis related to contract volume, cycle time, and compliance metrics.
* Participate in training and enablement initiatives related to contract processes and tools.
* Serve as a key steward of contract data integrity and process adherence within Salesforce.
Technical Skills / Competencies
* Solid understanding of contract lifecycle management and commercial contracting concepts.
* Hands-on Salesforce experience required.
* Experience working with contract lifecycle management tools and sales operations tools is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply policy and judgment to real-world scenarios.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
* Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues or seek guidance.
* Comfort operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 3-5 years of experience in contract operations, sales operations, legal operations, or a related role.
* Experience supporting customer-facing commercial contracts in a SaaS or high-growth environment preferred.
* Experience working directly with quota-carrying sales teams preferred.
