Tax Manager - 12 month FTCThe Role:Full responsibility for tax matters with respect to subsidiary companies for a number of Irish/overseas countries.
Working with internal finance teams and local professional advisers to ensure compliance with tax filing and payment obligations, provision of audit defence support, and supporting local in-country and shared services teams with all tax matters.Maintaining excellent relationships with local and shared services finance teams and external advisers.Assisting in the preparation and review of Research and Development tax credit claims.Addressing ad-hoc queries from commercial and other teams regarding VAT, withholding tax, etc.Keeping up-to-date with legislative developments in your countries and ensuring implications are addressed appropriately.Ensuring accurate and timely quarterly US GAAP tax reporting for allocated countries.Supporting senior members of the tax team with various ad-hoc tax projects.Ensuring compliance with local transfer pricing regulations within ICON's overall business model.Candidate Requirements:2+ years of PQE in a dedicated tax role.Experience with a Big 4 practice or within a PLC/MNC environment.Qualified Accountant and AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with an excellent academic background.Strong technical background with extensive experience advising international companies across tax areas.Broad international corporate tax and VAT experience is advantageous.Ability to develop effective internal and external networks.Team player with influence across cross-functional groups.Excellent computer skills; Oracle experience is a plus.Bachelor's Degree or higher.What ICON Offers:Our success depends on our people.
