Atrium Global is partnering with our biopharma client to appoint a Supply Chain Planner on a 12‑month contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a key role in production and material planning to support commercial operations, new product introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives within a biologics manufacturing site.
Job Overview
This position will serve as a Production Planner, responsible for planning and scheduling all material and production‑related activities across the manufacturing site. The role supports both short‑ and long‑term planning (up to a three‑year horizon) and collaborates closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure operational efficiency and data accuracy.
Responsibilities
 * Maintain and manage the site’s production schedule within SAP.
 * Schedule and release process orders, ensuring alignment across manufacturing and materials handling.
 * Liaise with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Validation, MS&T, and QA to ensure smooth production execution.
 * Oversee the S&OP process and support monthly production scenario planning.
 * Support master data management, particularly for new product introductions and bill of materials.
 * Participate in the upcoming transition to a new planning system.
 * Conduct strategic planning, inventory analysis, and variance reviews to identify process improvements.
 * Manage supply‑chain‑related investigations, change controls, and project support as required.
Requirements
 * Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production planning environment.
 * Proven experience using SAP (ERP) for scheduling and materials management.
 * Previous experience in finite scheduling or production planning.
 * Exposure to advanced planning systems (e.g., Maestro or Orchestrate) highly advantageous.
 * Strong Excel and data management skills.
 * Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
 * Experience in pharma or biopharma manufacturing preferred.
 * Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related scientific discipline.
