Your new role
You will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments. You will support the budgeting and forecasting process, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger. You will also be responsible for processing VAT and PAYE returns, assisting with year-end audits, and liaising with external auditors. The role involves working closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and providing support in the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management. You may also be involved in process improvement initiatives and the implementation of new financial systems or controls.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be part-qualified in a recognised accounting body (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) and have at least 2 years of relevant experience in an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Irish tax regulations is essential. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar, along with advanced Excel skills, is highly desirable. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment are also key to success in this role.
