About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Cork. The ideal candidate will possess excellent food preparation skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook dishes to a 4-star hotel standard across various outlets, including restaurants, bars, and banquets.
* Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu execution, consistency, portion control, and plating.
* Supervise and guide junior chefs during service, ensuring adherence to hygiene and food safety protocols.
* Organize mise en place for service periods and assist with stock ordering, rotation, and storage.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of food service.
* Contribute to cost control through efficient use of resources, portion management, and wastage reduction.
* Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or senior demi chef in a busy hotel or restaurant kitchen is essential.
* The ability to perform under pressure and deliver consistent quality during peak service times is crucial.
* A strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices is mandatory.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail are required.
* Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff is preferred.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays is necessary.
