Financial Specialist
This role encompasses financial management, reporting, and compliance to drive strategic collaboration.
* Oversee month-end close activities, reconciliations, and control processes for accurate financial data.
* Manage project accounting and fixed assets while ensuring efficient financial operations.
* Collaborate closely with business units to monitor cost allocations and validate financial accuracy.
* Act as a liaison with IT to resolve system issues and improve financial processes.
* Prepare financial reports for grants, contracts, and capital benchmarking activities.
* Provide key financial information to external auditors and stakeholders for transparency and accountability.
* Develop reporting frameworks that inform business decision-making in conjunction with leadership.
* Monitor system controls related to budgeting, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
* Enhance reporting efficiency by implementing best practices and automation.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be a qualified accountant (Chartered, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with strong Excel skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective stakeholder relationships.
