WH Scott Group is seeking an experienced Engineer Surveyor with expertise in pressure systems and hot boilers to join our expanding inspection and engineering team, in North/East Ireland and Northern Ireland. About the Role
The successful candidate will carry out statutory inspections, examinations, and assessments of pressure systems and boiler equipment in compliance with the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR) applicable to Northern Ireland region; and The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 445 of 2012) applicable to Republic of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-service (working) inspections and assessments in accordance with PSSR 2000 and S.I. 445 of 2012.
Perform out of service (thorough) inspections and assessments in accordance with PSSR 2000 and S.I. 445 of 2012.
Examine steam and hot water boilers, pressure vessels, and related systems.
Produce detailed inspection reports and certifications in line with legal and client requirements.
Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
Provide technical input and support to the wider engineering division.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in pressure systems and boiler inspection.
Comprehensive understanding of PSSR 2000 & S.I. 45 of 2012 and applicable safety codes and standards.
Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical discipline preferred).
Excellent communication, reporting, and client interaction skills.
Based on, or willing to travel throughout the island of Ireland.
