are seeking an enthusiastic Full Time Purchasing Assistant to join the team at the
Sheraton Athlone Hotel,
a 4-star, 167-bedroomed property located in the heart of Athlone town centre.
This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to begin or further their hospitality career, working 39 hours per week. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Purchasing Manager and all departments in the hotel. The role involves working cross-functionally throughout the hotel and offers real opportunities for professional growth.

Core Responsibilities
* Preparation of purchase orders for food, beverage, consumables, and overheads, aligned with operational needs and stock levels, using the hotel's procurement system.
* Key user of Procure Wizard procurement tool.
* Accept and check deliveries daily, matching with raised purchase orders; resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
* Work with Purchasing Manager to ensure secure and accurate distribution of deliveries.
* Monitor and maintain stock levels, assist with stock counts, and maintain detailed records.
* Organise and rotate stock in storerooms as required.
* Maintain cleanliness of Purchasing area, waste area and front of hotel
* Comply with Health & Safety standards and ensure security protocols, especially in car park and delivery areas.
Skills & Experience
* Fluent English (written and spoken) required.
* Basic Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent organisation and interpersonal ability.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
