An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-established engineering company specialising in metal fabrication, CNC machining, and bespoke product design. This pivotal role offers the chance to lead operational activities, ensure efficient production, and deliver high-quality projects across a diverse client base.
About the role:
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Monday to Friday
Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
Oversee daily manufacturing and production activities
Manage stock control, procurement, and supply chain operations
Ensure workflow runs efficiently to meet output and quality targets
Review and refine operational processes to increase productivity
Implement improvements to reduce waste, shorten lead times, and control costs
Monitor performance metrics and drive operational excellence
Plan and allocate resources effectively across projects
Ensure bespoke engineering projects are delivered within budget and on schedule
What you'll need for this role:
Proven experience in an operations or production management role within engineering or manufacturing
Strong understanding of fabrication and CNC machining environments
Effective leadership and team management capabilities
Experience driving operational improvements and efficiencies
Commercially aware with strong organisational and planning skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
