* We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated nurse to join our team in the Carlow/Kilkenny area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support services to children with disabilities.
">
* The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in nursing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with children. They will also be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and eligible to work in the state.
">

Key Responsibilities:
">
">
1. To provide clinical and care support services to children with disabilities
">
2. To lead and supervise support staff in the delivery of services
">
3. To identify and understand the health and medical needs of each child and ensure their needs are met appropriately
">
4. To coordinate, assess, plan, implement and review care for children according to service standards including TUSLA and HIQA regulations
">
5. To foster links with the child's future educators and ensure the implementation of agreed programs of care for each child
">
6. To provide training to non-nursing staff as required and ensure that the care and hygiene of treatment rooms, bathroom and toileting facilities are to the highest standards
">
7. To transport children to and from home as required and work with individual children in a range of settings
">
8. To carry out vaccination of both service owners and staff as required and display appropriate sensitivity while working closely with families and service users
">
9. To have functional and technical knowledge and skills to make a credible contribution to the service
">

Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
">
* A recognized degree in nursing or equivalent qualification in intellectual disability/general or children's nursing
">
* Registration with the NMBI and eligibility to work in the state
">
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with children and families
">
* Ability to work in partnership with parents/carers and children in a family-centered manner
">
* Good knowledge of child protection and child development
">
* Demonstrated understanding of residential respite and day services and experience of working with children with disabilities
">
">
