A leading international financial institution with a base in South Dublin is looking to hire a commercially focused PCM Sales Consultant to drive business development across the financial institutions sector. This senior role sits within the Transaction Services team and is pivotal to expanding the bank’s client base and deepening relationships in Ireland’s banking and financial services market.
About the Role
This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role focused on identifying and converting opportunities for Payments and Cash Management solutions with banks, insurers, investment firms, and other financial institutions. You will be expected to take full ownership of the sales cycle—from identifying prospects and qualifying leads, to structuring solutions, negotiating terms, and securing mandates.
Working closely with relationship managers, product teams, and senior stakeholders both locally and globally, you’ll play a key role in delivering tailored PCM services that meet client needs and align with broader business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities across the financial institutions space
* Lead on client acquisition, pitch preparation, and presentations
* Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements in line with business targets
* Act as the primary contact for PCM discussions, ensuring seamless client onboarding and follow-through
* Collaborate across internal teams (product, legal, compliance, etc.) to execute deals efficiently
* Contribute to strategic sales planning and support marketing initiatives to increase visibility in the Irish market
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a driven sales professional with:
* A proven track record of closing complex sales deals within financial services
* Strong knowledge of payments, cash management, and treasury services
* The ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (e.g., CFOs, Treasurers, Heads of Network Management)
* A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally across business units
* Confidence in managing long sales cycles and navigating regulatory/compliance constraints
* Familiarity with client onboarding and operational delivery in a regulated environment
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
* 5+ years’ experience in a front-line sales or business development role within financial services
* Technical fluency in payments and cash management; knowledge of Trade Finance is a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
* Willingness to travel for client meetings and internal coordination
