Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Sage, and a strong background in financial record-keeping, VAT filing, and control account reconciliations.
In this role, you would be part of a team overseeing approximately 100 internal clients to ensure VAT is filed correctly and on time. You would also be responsible for reconciling all balance sheet items on a monthly or bimonthly basis to aid with management accounts distributed to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
* Process invoices, receipts, and payments
* Reconcile bank statements and control accounts
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
* Support the preparation of management accounts
* Liaise with clients and respond to financial queries
* Evaluate and maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar financial or clerical role
* Proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage accounting software
* Strong understanding of VAT regulations and filing procedures
* Experience with balance sheet control account reconciliations
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Good communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
