Meet the team RTÉ Finance comprises a centralised Group Finance function responsible for financial control & certain central Shared Services including Payroll, Fees, Accounts Receivable, Treasury Management, Accounts Payable, Pensions and Procurement, Tax, Management Information, Finance Transformation & Projects. There are divisional finance teams across key business units which report functionally on all financial, accounting and reporting matters to the Chief Financial Officer, and on operational matters to the Head of Division.We are looking for a finance intern to join our Group Finance team for a 9–12-month internship, commencing in June 2026. The Finance Intern will support the Finance team across a range of financial, accounting, and analytical activities while gaining hands-on experience in a professional finance environment. This 12-month paid internship is designed to provide structured learning, practical exposure, and development opportunities under the supervision of the Head of Finance.Key Responsibilities The Finance Intern will support the Finance function in areas including, but not limited to: Assisting with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry and reconciliationsSupporting month-end and year-end financial processesPreparing and analysing financial reports, schedules, and spreadsheetsAssisting with budgeting and forecasting activitiesSupporting accounts payable and receivable processesHelping maintain accurate financial records in line with company policiesAssisting with audit preparation and documentation as requiredSupporting ad-hoc financial analysis and projects led by the Head of Finance or wider Finance team.Ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.Learning & Development Structured internship programme overseen by the Head of FinanceExposure to core finance and accounting processesMentoring, feedback, and regular supervisionOpportunities to develop technical, analytical, and professional skillsInsight into career pathways within financeAbout you: Essential Criteria Currently studying Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related disciplineStrong numerical and analytical skillsGood attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic financial systemsStrong organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work confidentially and professionally with financial dataWillingness to learn and take initiativeInterest in pursuing a long-term career in finance or accountingPersonal Attributes Professional and reliableProactive and enthusiasticStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamSupervision & Reporting The Finance Intern will be supervised by the Head of Finance, who is responsible for the overall, training, and performance development throughout the period.
