We are currently recruiting Project P6 Scheduler into our Project Management Office (PMO) to support and assist Project Managers across business sectors in the successful and efficient delivery of projects. The successful candidate will be accountable for supporting the timely delivery of projects and programmes with a focus on schedule, risk, resourcing and costs.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Project Scheduler will be:


* Day-to-day support and assistance to Project Managers in the schedule management of diverse large scale projects, teams, and stakeholders across a range of sectors.
* Development of project schedules for multi-disciplinary design projects from concept through design to construction and handover.
* Integration of supplier / Contractor program and schedules into Master Project Programme as applicable.
* Critical review, tracking, resource loading and cost tracking of project schedules including regular reporting of performance status and providing basis of schedule reports.
* Highlighting promptly to the PMO and Project Manager any corrective actions required to maintain project schedule.
* Planning, developing, and maintaining Risk Management Plan. Conducting quantitative risk analysis as applicable.
* Liaison with internal stakeholders, Clients, third-party Consultants, Contractors, and other Stakeholders as appropriate and maintaining collaborative relationships.
* Provision of specific assistance to Project Managers to drive schedule performance and ensure overall project delivery.
* Analysis of project data for trending, identifies lessons learned and disseminate findings as system improvements.
* Assist in conducting in-house Project Planning training as applicable and facilitate planning workshops.

Qualifications And Experience

The desired qualifications and experience for the Project Manager are:

* Relevant degree / higher diploma in project management, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in general project planning, scheduling and control across road and rail projects in Ireland of varying size and complexity.
* Experience of working in an engineering design consultancy as a P6 Scheduler.
* Experience of quantitative risk analysis techniques will be advantageous.

Position Specific Competencies

* Planning & Scheduling – Proven knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, tracking, and managing projects, resources and risk including monitoring, and interrogating individual or portfolio of project schedules to identify critical issues.
* Attention to detail.

Computer Skills

* Scheduling tools (advanced user of Primavera P6 including analysis of baselines, predecessors / successors, dependencies, critical path, earned value, lag, float, constraints, S curves, SPI, cost and resource loaded programmes. Tracking, updates, re-baselining, and reporting of schedules).
* MS Office Suite (proficient user of MS Excel & MS PowerPoint).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills:
* Verbal – excellent communications skills.
* Written – excellent report writing.
* Technical proficiency in project planning and scheduling across individual and portfolio of projects, along with the ability to adapt, innovate and meet changing demands.
* Demonstrate a successful track record and strong knowledge & experience in programme, risk, and resource management across engineering projects.
* Strong technical experience in delivery of projects in engineering consultancies and/or related construction projects.
* Demonstrate proven knowledge and experience of working with/to accredited Integrated Management Systems & Standards including quality, data security, risk etc.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Ability to set up ongoing procedures to collect and review information as needed, trending and lessons learned to facilitate system improvements.
* Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling, resource management, risk management, programme management methodologies and industry best practice.
* Proven track record in dealing with complex scheduling issues proactively and in a timely fashion and ability to achieve results within the set timeframe.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team with excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated project scheduling ability, proactive development of schedules and engagement of the team.
* Experience of developing Basis of Schedule documentation to support schedule.
* Self-disciplined, good time management skills and capacity to self-motivate.
