Who should apply?
This role will suit a Big 4 or Top 10 practice‑trained qualified accountant with at least 6 years’ PQE, ideally gained within FMCG and/or other high‑growth environments. The client is seeking a commercially focused finance professional who can operate as a true business partner while also driving operational excellence across the business. Suitable candidates are likely to bring the following:
Big 4 or Top 10 practice training with a recognised accounting qualification
Minimum 6 years’ PQE
Experience within FMCG and/or other fast‑paced, high‑growth industries
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support key business decisions
Proven track record in delivering operational excellence
Ability to business partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Role and Reporting Lines
Reporting to the CEO, this role will lead a team of finance and operational professionals and will have broad responsibility across financial control, commercial support, and operational oversight. Key responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting – Ownership of month‑end and year‑end reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Planning & Analysis – Leading budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business performance
Strategic Insight – Delivering strategic analysis and commercial insights for the C‑Suite and wider leadership team
Growth Analysis – Supporting decision‑making around new products, markets, and expansion opportunities
Finance Operations – Overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations and ensuring strong process discipline
Cashflow Management – Managing cashflow, liquidity planning, and forecasting requirements across the business
Tax & Compliance – Coordinating tax planning and ensuring ongoing compliance obligations are met
Business Partnering – Acting as a key commercial partner to both internal and external stakeholders
