We are seeking a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional to join our team as a Support Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement person-centred planning, capacity building, social inclusion, positive behaviour supports, community development, advocacy, and empowerment strategies to enhance service-user outcomes.
* Facilitate service-users in various programmes and support opportunities for building natural support networks and social roles, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
* Utilise alternative communication aids and assistive technology to ensure effective communication and support.
* Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and organisational skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will require an in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, as well as a full clean driving license and a Third-Level Qualification in Nursing (preferably RNID). Experience in the field is highly desirable.
