Project Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our capital projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and construction management.
* Manage and monitor the construction programme and cost plan, minimizing the impact of any variations.
* Keep stakeholders informed of progress, cost, and relevant issues.
* Oversight of the tender and contractor/consultant appointment process.
* Chair and minute project review meetings.
* Ensure compliance with maintenance programmes for buildings, services, and equipment.
* Facilitate smooth information flow between parties to the contract.
* Identify potential bottlenecks and delays, taking corrective action.
* Agree valuations and final accounts for contractors and consultants.
* Monitor build and material quality.
* Ensure contractual compliance for contractors and consultancy.
* Assist in front-end design planning and procurement of other projects.
This is a rolling contract role with excellent prospects for a permanent position and significant development opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Level 8 degree in Engineering or Construction-related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in engineering with a contractor or consulting engineers.
* A thorough knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies.
* A proven track record of seeing projects through to successful completion.
* A current driving license and vehicle.
