Data Architect – Contract Role
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week)
Contract: Initial 6 months (with potential extension)
Start Date: End of February / Early March
Stelfox is seeking an experienced Data Architect for one of our leading clients based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead design and implementation of enterprise data architecture (Azure, Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory).
* Enable AI/ML workflows and MLOps integration.
* Define platform strategy, governance, and best practices.
* Engage stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
* Drive innovation, security, compliance (GDPR), and cost optimisation.
* Mentor data engineers and analysts.
Skills & Experience
* Expertise in Azure data services (Databricks, Data Lake Gen2, Data Factory).
* Strong knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, PySpark, and SQL.
* Experience with AI/ML workflows and data governance.
* Proficiency in ETL/ELT, data modelling, CI/CD, and DevOps tools.
* Familiarity with Power BI, GitHub, Azure DevOps/Jira.
* Degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Certifications in Azure Architecture and Databricks.
* Aviation, IoT, or geospatial data experience is a plus.
