Event Manager, Corporate Events
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
We build impactful experiences that drive awareness of Stripe, foster community, and support our broader mission. For this role specifically, you will be joining the team that executes the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (YSTE), Ireland’s premier annual science competition and a cornerstone of the national academic calendar.
What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced event manager to join the Corporate Events team on a 9‑month contract to provide heavy operational support for YSTE (taking place in January 2027). You will partner closely with the Event Lead to take over the entire Royal Dublin Society campus in Dublin, hosting over 550 student finalist teams and welcoming 35,000 to 40,000 attendees. This role works closely with design, communications, external vendors and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and a logistical powerhouse who excels in large‑scale exhibition management, cross‑functional collaboration, and delivering a world‑class, safe, and inspiring experience for students, partners, and the public.
Responsibilities

Partner with the Event Lead to manage massive‑scale event logistics at the RDS, including exhibition floor builds, complex catering operations, large‑scale audio‑visual production, staffing, transportation, signage, branding, and robust security and health & safety protocols.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans that clearly outline strategic objectives, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities.
Facilitate cross‑functional meetings, providing concise recaps and promptly following up on action items to ensure project momentum and proactively address any blockers.
Monitor project progress consistently using effective tracking tools, updating plans as necessary to accommodate changes or new developments.
Collaborate with internal and external design teams on content production and large‑scale branding as needed.
Create comprehensive onsite run‑of‑shows, production schedules, and crowd flow plans to ensure smooth event execution.
Conduct thorough evaluations of the event to assess outcomes against predetermined goals and KPIs, gathering feedback from attendees and team members to identify areas for improvement.
Maintain detailed records of the event, including contracts, multi‑agency vendor contacts, and lessons learned, to inform future planning and enhance the effectiveness of Stripe's event strategy.
Travel may be required for this role.

Minimum requirements

6+ years of experience in event management, with specific experience executing large‑scale exhibitions, trade shows, consumer events, or festivals (30,000+ attendees).
Experience managing complex, multi‑agency vendor relationships and large‑scale venue operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships across departments and with external partners.
Strong project management expertise with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects successfully.
Demonstrated leadership and adaptability in navigating changing environments while prioritizing tasks effectively.
Data‑driven mindset focused on setting goals, measuring KPIs, and communicating milestones to stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail and organization, committed to quality and consistency while managing competing priorities.
Collaborative and creative, thriving in dynamic, fast‑paced work environments.
Strong problem‑solving and consensus‑building skills with a history of managing complex projects.
Adept at developing processes and automation with a focus on scalability.
Bachelor's Degree.
