Support Officer - Industry Digitalisation Temporary Contract | Public Sector | Immediate Start A national public-sector organisation is seeking a Support Officer to join its Industry Digitalisation team.
This role supports the delivery of large-scale digital transformation and data programmes aimed at improving the competitiveness and productivity of tourism businesses across Ireland.
Blended working model with remote working and access to regional offices in Dublin, Sligo, Limerick, Galway, and Cork.
Contract Details Duration: 6 months Hours: 35 hours per week Annual Leave: 23 days (pro rata) Salary €42,145 - €62,901* *Appointment at Point 1 of the relevant public-sector salary scale, in line with Public Pay Policy (unless transferring from an existing public-sector role).
Key Responsibilities Support the delivery and administration of digital transformation programmes.
Manage programme processes including applications, grant approvals, agreements, and claims.
Maintain accurate programme data using a CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
Conduct research on digital and emerging technologies (including Gen-AI) relevant to tourism businesses.
Monitor digital trends and provide insights to inform programme and policy development.
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery.
Prepare reports for monitoring, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
Assist with financial and procurement administration in line with organisational policies.
Support sustainability objectives and contribute to divisional targets.
Travel to national and regional locations is required, with occasional international travel.
Essential Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience in tourism, digital, communications, or project management.
Knowledge of digital and emerging technologies.
Experience producing reports.
Budget or financial administration experience.
Level 6 (QQI or equivalent) qualification in business, management, digital, tourism, or a related field.
Desirable Experience using a CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
Stakeholder management experience.
Experience within the tourism sector or a related industry.
