What You’ll Do
Join Vodafone as a Senior Oracle Cloud Architect Lead and help shape the future of cloud infrastructure across our global operations. In this strategic and hands‑on role, you’ll lead the transformation of legacy systems into modern cloud platforms, primarily using OCI and Azure, with a strong focus on large‑scale data environments. You’ll design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that support billions of data points daily, while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. You’ll guide teams, mentor talent, and collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business goals. From developing prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts to implementing cost‑optimised solutions, your work will directly impact operational excellence and system health. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards, while continuously improving performance and reducing downtime.
Who You Are
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. You might be a great fit if you bring:
* 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a cloud architecture role
* Proven success deploying cloud solutions in large‑scale environments
* Deep expertise in Oracle Database technologies (Autonomous DB, Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate)
* Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud, containerised environments, and infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
* Experience with OCI and Azure cloud platforms
* A solid understanding of security, compliance, and high availability frameworks
* Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
* A track record of leading virtual teams and managing complex database migration projects
* Passion for innovation and continuous improvement
