We are looking for an experienced construction foreman to join our team in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all works comply with the company's Safety Statement.
Implement and maintain HSQE management systems and procedures across site activities.
Supervise subcontractors and direct labor to ensure safe systems of work are followed.
Participate in the preparation and delivery of RAMS, SPAs, inductions, toolbox talks, and permits.
Carry out regular site safety inspections and close out any actions.
Ensure environmental practices are adhered to, including waste management permits and minimizing environmental impact.
Quality Assurance
Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and project quality requirements.
Inspect completed works, raise NCRs for defects, and ensure timely rectification.
Secure client approval and sign-off once works are completed to the required standard.
Planning & Coordination
Manage daily site operations, ensuring effective allocation of labor, subcontractors, plant, and equipment.
Contribute to short-term lookahead programs and monitor progress against targets.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain efficient workflow.
Mentor and develop junior staff to build team capability.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, returns, permits, and other compliance paperwork.
Ensure all required documentation is prepared and approved prior to works commencing.
Provide regular progress updates to the Site Agent/Project Manager.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor productivity, resource use, and overtime to ensure efficiency.
Identify and report any variations, delays, or risks impacting cost or schedule.
Support the project team in controlling budget and maximizing value.
People Management
Supervise and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives.
Allocate daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
Resolve on-site issues or disputes promptly to minimize disruption.
Maintain effective communication between site staff, management, and stakeholders.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' construction experience in a supervisory role on similar projects (Ireland or UK).
Strong track record in safety, quality, program, and cost control.
Completion of a recognized Site Safety Supervisor training program (or equivalent)
Full clean driving license.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
Must have the right to work in Ireland/UK (no sponsorship available).
