An ambitious, fast-growing consumer-facing business is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to work closely with the CFO and leadership team as the organisation enters its next phase of growth.
This is a hands-on, broad finance role offering real autonomy and influence. You'll sit at the centre of the business, owning core financial reporting while providing forward-looking insight to support strategic decision-making.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of day-to-day commercial finance activities while partnering with operational leaders to drive performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts and P&L analysis
* Balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of complex accounting items
* Leading FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and scenario planning
* Providing clear, actionable commercial insight to support growth initiatives
* Oversight and involvement in payroll processes
* Supporting improvements in financial controls, processes and reporting
* Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business
The Person
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and working close to the commercial heartbeat of a business.
You will ideally have:
* A recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Experience in a broad commercial finance or financial control role
* Strong exposure to management accounts, FP&A, P&L and balance sheet ownership
* The ability to unravel and improve accounts and processes
* Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with non-finance stakeholders
* A proactive, self-starting mindset suited to a growing, dynamic environment
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in a consumer-facing, multi-site or membership-based business
* SME or scaling business experience
