Role Overview
The Store Manager oversees daily operations, drives sales performance, manages a motivated team and ensures exceptional customer service to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
Effectively run all store operations to meet or exceed sales & KPI targets, set clear sales goals, track performance and evolve processes for continuous growth.
Create and maintain colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
Build a positive team culture through recruitment, training and continuous development.
Maintain a high‑performing, motivated team to increase store success.
Analyse sales data and financial reports to make informed commercial decisions and identify opportunities.
Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
Attract, engage and motivate customers using the latest visual merchandising techniques.
Ensure merchandise displays are attractive and align with brand guidelines.
Deliver a superior in‑store service to achieve a positive Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Address customer inquiries, feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
Drive loyalty programmes and promotions to enhance customer engagement.
Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations.
Monitor and control store expenses to stay within budget.
Ensure the store complies with health & safety regulations.
Role Objectives and KPI’s
Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
Drive additional KPIs including Units, Conversion, Average Ticket Value (ATV) and Units per Transaction (UPT).
Achieve upselling and cross‑selling targets.
Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
Guarantee all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
Meet or exceed employee satisfaction and engagement survey benchmarks.
Keep operational costs within the allocated budget.
Skills and Experience
Previous management experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing retail environment.
Passion for retail with an understanding of latest trends and competitors.
Strong leadership skills and experience coaching and developing a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven track record of managing and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
Experience analysing reports and making commercial decisions.
Detail‑oriented with a commercial mindset.
Previous visual merchandising experience is advantageous.
Ability to promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
