About The Role
EPS Group has exciting opportunities for energetic and enthusiastic people to join our Operations team. We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Process Environmental Scientist, with a particular focus on those who have experience in the wastewater and drinking water industry. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, self‑motivated, and capable of managing their time effectively. Strong communication skills and a good command of the English language are essential, as is the ability to engage professionally with colleagues and clients at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Travel to various Water and Wastewater treatment plants throughout the Munster area carrying out operational duties.
* Work independently and occasionally with Senior Process Specialists.
* Conduct inspections, sampling, and analysis of Wastewater and Drinking Water Treatment Plant processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve process issues on‑site.
* Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency measures, with ongoing monitoring.
* Participate in role‑specific training as required.
* Operate Drinking Water and Wastewater treatment plants as required.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and on‑site operators/supervisors.
* Calibrate laboratory and monitoring equipment.
* Monitor and interpret data from SCADA control systems.
Key Competencies And Skills
* Proven experience in Wastewater and Water treatment processes.
* Laboratory analysis skills.
* Proficiency in PC applications such as Excel and Word.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
* Degree in Environmental Science (or other relevant science/engineering degree). Further training will be provided.
* Full Irish Driving Licence.
* 3–5 years experience in water and wastewater process optimisation.
