About Your New Job
* Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant Irish health and safety legislation.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
* Prepare, implement, and maintain the Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan.
* Deliver site-specific inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing health and safety training.
* Investigate and report on-site incidents, near-misses, and accidents.
* Maintain safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safety statements.
* Ensure use of appropriate PPE and adherence to site safety protocols by all workers and contractors.
* Liaise with external stakeholders including the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) and local authorities as required.
* Support emergency planning, drills, and incident response.
What Skills You Need
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry in Ireland.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction regulations.
* Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., QQI Level 6, NEBOSH Construction, or equivalent).
* Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certification.
* Full Clean Drivers Licence.
