 
        
        Senior Credit Manager (Property / Development Finance)
Our client are a State-backed commercial lender providing finance to support the delivery of new homes in Ireland. They operate on a commercial basis, funding viable residential development projects at market rates.
The Role
The Senior Credit Manager will play a key role in
assessing and managing development finance proposals
, ensuring that new housing projects funded are both commercially viable and well-structured. You will be responsible for
credit analysis, risk management, and ongoing portfolio oversight
, while working closely with colleagues in lending and external stakeholders.
This role will suit an experienced credit professional from a major bank or financial institution with a strong background in
residential property development finance
.
Key Responsibilities
 * Assess and structure credit applications for residential development projects.
 * Conduct detailed credit analysis, identifying risks and mitigants.
 * Monitor the performance of the loan portfolio, including drawdowns and account reviews.
 * Identify early warning signs of stress and support on restructuring/workout solutions if required.
 * Contribute to loan book impairment reviews and ensure compliance with policy and audit requirements.
 * Support the development of credit policies, processes, and operational improvements.
 * Build strong relationships with internal teams, borrowers, and other stakeholders.
About You
 * 5+ years' experience
 in credit risk management, lending, or development finance within a bank or financial institution.
 * Proven experience assessing and managing
 residential property development finance proposals
 .
 * Strong knowledge of lending agreements, covenants, and security.
 * Ability to interpret financial statements and forecasts.
 * Commercially astute, with sound judgement and strong decision-making skills.
 * Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
 * High standards of governance and ethics.
Qualifications
 * A degree in banking, finance, business, or a related discipline (professional qualifications an advantage).
