Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

Hours: Full-time, 37.5–40 hours per week

Role Summary: The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a key leadership role in supporting the Director of Nursing in managing the overall delivery of high-quality nursing care in the nursing home.

Key Responsibilities:
">
1. Clinical Leadership: Ensure the highest standards of nursing care are delivered to residents.
">
2. Staff Management: Supervise, mentor and support nursing and care staff.
">
3. Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIQA standards and internal policies.
">
4. Resident & Family Engagement: Promote a person-centred approach to care.
">
5. Operational Support: Assist in deputising for the Director of Nursing as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
">
Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
">
Minimum 3 years' experience in elderly care, with at least 2 years in a senior nursing role.
">
A postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management or equivalent is often desirable.
">
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
