Job Description
Murphy Ireland is seeking a highly skilled SHESQ Advisor to join their team on various projects in the Leinster and Dublin areas. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of works and embedding the Company's 'Never Harm' culture on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, and Quality Management Systems
* Ensuring continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO14001, and ISO 9001
* Carrying out inductions and producing monthly statistics
* Championing the Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme)
* Carry out and document site audits and inspections
* Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health, and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance
* Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records
* Investigating, logging, and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances
* Completing all necessary report forms
* Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set-up of appropriate controls
* Ensure all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available
* Prepare and present toolbox talks as and when required
* Prepare and present at monthly safety meetings
* Review subcontractor documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant 3rd level qualification in health and safety and minimum of 3 years relevant experience on civil engineering/construction sites. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams, are essential. Good written and spoken communication abilities, good IT skills with a high attention to detail, and a flexible and proactive approach are also required. Demonstrate leadership skills, implementing and rolling out behaviour-based programmes, is a must.
