Job description
We are offering an electrical apprenticeship to an interested candidate.
The successful candidate will be working under a team of very experienced Tower Crane/Hoist electricians on building sites nationwide.
Due to the large variety of Tower crane manufacturers/Models we work with, the position offers an excellent opportunity for learning within the field.
It also offers an excellent opportunity to learn the erection/Dismantle sequence of tower cranes as candidates will be expected to train on all aspects of our work.
Being comfortable with heights is absolutely necessary for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate with be paired with a fully qualified Electrician to assist in the job responsibilities listed below.
Job Responsibilities will Include:
· Fault finding/Troubleshooting – Electricians are responsible for breakdown assistance on sites nationwide.
It is their responsibility to identify and repair faults as quickly and effectively as possible.
They will be required to provide electrical maintenance/breakdown assistance to a wide variety manufacture/model of Cranes, Builders hoists and lifting equipment.
· Job recording – All technicians are expected to comprehensively record/report any maintenance work on our job recording app.
Training will be provided on its use.
· Pre-Erection maintenance – All equipment is fully serviced and maintained in our yard before going to site.
Electricians play a crucial role in the replacement of parts and all other general maintenance work.
· Testing & Inspections – Thorough inspections are carried out on our equipment periodically on site.
This will include visual inspection and weight testing.
Good fault finding and observation skills are crucial to this work.
· Working at Height – Candidates must be comfortable working at heights.
Previous working at heights training is desirable but not necessary.
Working at height & Harness training will be provided to the successful candidate.
· Safety Awareness – Successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety and be able to identify safety hazards/risks etc. that may inhibit work or make an area unsafe.
· Occasional overtime – Technicians may be expected to work overtime occasionally to suit the needs of the business.
· Team Player – Candidates must be able to work well in a team and be a team player
