Role Overview
A reputable client of ours is looking for an experienced and dynamic
Head of Finance
to join the senior leadership team in West Dublin..
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
* Own the full financial management of the business — from strategic planning to day-to-day operations.
* Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
* Oversee financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
* Develop and maintain robust internal controls and compliance frameworks.
People Management & Team Leadership
* Lead and develop a growing finance team; manage performance reviews, career development, and succession planning.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level finance staff.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and commercial teams to drive business performance.
Strategic Business Partnering
* Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategy with business goals.
* Provide commercial insight to support pricing strategies, cost optimization, and investment decisions.
* Participate in strategic projects including expansion, M&A, and system implementations.
Regulatory & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with Irish GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
* Manage external audits and liaise with banks, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks across the business.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Minimum 8 years of experience in senior finance roles,
* Strong background in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or a similar fast-paced environment (preferred).
* Managed teams of 8-15+ people
