About Us
In January 2017, Diageo announced its move into the Irish whiskey market with the launch of Roe and Co Premium Blended Irish whiskey and a €25M investment to revitalize The 1950s Guinness Power Station at St. James’s Gate into a new Urban Distillery, centered around Malt whiskey. Located near St. Patrick’s Tower, this distillery anchors the Roe & Co brand in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties.
Our distillery, set in the Golden Triangle of Irish Whiskey, aims to create lifelong advocates through our visitor experiences. The successful candidate will welcome guests, showcasing collaboration, innovation, and exploration at Roe & Co Irish Whiskey.
Our facilities include a 120-capacity Power House Bar, a 60-seat cocktail garden, experiential tour rooms, and a boutique distillery store. Roe & Co Distillery Brand Ambassadors will work across all areas to deliver exceptional guest experiences and inspire visitors to become brand ambassadors themselves.
About the Role
The Roe & Co Distillery Ambassador generates advocacy for the brand by providing outstanding guest experiences in a high-end service environment, guiding visitors through distillery tours, retail offerings, and Food & Beverage programs.
The role demands high standards of customer service and adherence to quality management systems. Ambassadors report to the Operations and Assistant Operations Experience Managers and will engage with the public, media, and industry professionals. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings is required.
Environment
The role is based mainly at the distillery experience, involving guest interactions, retail sales, stock management, and merchandising. Ambassadors act as whiskey and cocktail educators, delivering training and supporting sales teams to promote our portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Deliver consistent brand messaging and the Roe & Co story during all guest experiences.
* Provide high-quality service in food, beverage, and retail areas, following management standards.
* Manage stock control and cash handling duties.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and guests.
Qualifications
* Experience in high-end retail, preferably in whiskey or wine shops.
* Passion for the whiskey industry and ability to share that passion in sales.
* Experience with stock maintenance and merchandising.
