Head of Clinical Operations
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Clinical will be responsible for the design and delivery of systemic psychotherapy clinical services to the clients.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Clinical will be responsible for the design and delivery of systemic psychotherapy clinical services to the clients of Clanwilliam Institute. This includes the development and implementation of the strategic plans for the clinical department in line with the values of the Clanwilliam Institute.
Working Hours
This role is a part time role – we are flexible with the days and hours but the minimum required is 24 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-Day Management of Clinical Services
2. Line Management: Recruit, train, supervise and support the Reception team, Clinical Operations Manager and three part time clinical team members
3. Oversight & Governance: support the clinical work, governance and risk issues highlighted by sessional therapists
4. Recruit and Induct new contracted Clinical Staff
5. Review, Assess and Assign all clinical referrals in cooperation with the Clinical Operations Manager
6. Strategic Leadership:
7. Manage, liaise and report back to all EAP contracts, external agencies and projects re our clinical work with them
8. Develop reports, updates and bespoke seminars for Clanwilliam customers
9. Develop reports and modelling for the CEO and Board of Directors
10. Setup, monitor and report on Clinical Risk Subcommittee
11. Attend Board of Directors meetings Risk & Finance Meetings
12. Participate in developing new clinical opportunities for Clanwilliam
Service Development:
13. Identify new clinical opportunities for Clanwilliam and project management the implementation of these projects into the clinical department
14. Participate in the preparation of tenders and proposals to potential corporate service users.
15. Manage and report of referral sources, ensuring mix of referral sources throughout the year.
16. Lead the Clanwilliam MSc Student Internship program including the selection, induction and clinical support required for those students
17. Manage referrals for MSc Live Training Teams with the Clinical Operations Manager and the Training Department
Quality Service Delivery:
18. Provide Clinical Leadership and supervision to all the clinical team
19. Responsible for the gathering and management of client data and respond to Data protection and Freedom of Information requests
20. Monitor all Clinical Risk and Be the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) for Tusla with overall responsibility for monitoring and reporting child protection issues.
21. Maintain high standards of service delivery attending in particular to regulatory environments of clinical service provision
22. Ensure all clinical policies and procedures are current, disseminated and adhered to by therapists.
23. Liaise with referral agencies e.g the courts, TUSLA, HSE etc
24. Review all external correspondence from therapists to clients, GP's etc
25. Keep up to date on current regulations governing Psychotherapy practice
Collaborative Teamwork:
Ensure excellent communication and collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders
Plan with the training department each academic years clinical requirements
Desirable Experience:
Experience of managing a Clinical Service. A clinical Systemic supervision qualification although not necessary would be desirable.
Required:
26. Qualified in MSc Systemic Psychotherapy / Family Therapy.
27. Registered with the Family Therapy Association of Ireland (FTAI) and Irish Council of Psychotherapy (ICP).
28. 3 years post qualification experience
Remuneration: Negotiable depending on the qualifications, experience and hours to be worked by successful candidate.
