Automation Project Manager

Role Overview
An experienced Automation Project Manager is sought to lead automation-focused projects in an aseptic drug product manufacturing facility specializing in formulation, vial and syringe filling, lyophilisation круг packaging.
The role supports manufacturing continuity, capacity expansion, and operational excellence.guidelines within a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
Key responsibilities include delivering complex automation initiatives while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Scope of the Role
Lead automation projects from initiation through execution and close-out, ensuring alignment with site priorities and business objectives.
Define project scope, priorities, and execution strategies, providing clear direction and recommendations to stakeholders.
Maintain full accountability for project performance across safety, cost, schedule, and quality metrics.
Planning, Budgeting & Controls
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking.
Establish project plans, milestones, and resource strategies to ensure predictable delivery.
Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks and mitigation plans.
Delivery & Execution
Coordinate and manage all project activities, including resource allocation, progress tracking, and external communications.
Proactively identify emerging issues and resolve constraints using structured problem-solving approaches.
Ensure automation solutions are delivered in line with GMP, data integrity, and site engineering standards.
Manage third-party vendors and system integrators to ensure quality, compliance, and cost control.
Review vendor performance, technical deliverables, and adherence to agreed scopeitouational timelines.
Change Control & Compliance
Oversee the development, approval, and execution of change controls associated with automation projects.
Ensure changes are implemented in accordance with GMP and validated state requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Provide clear project status updates, reports, and risk visibility to senior stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with Automation, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Validation teams to ensure right-first-time execution.
Required Experience & Background
8+ years' engineering experience, ideally within pharmaceutical, biopharma, or life sciences manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale automation projects in regulated facilities.
Strong understanding of automation delivery within aseptic or sterile manufacturing operations.
Education
Third-level degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
