Working Hours: 37 hours per week (with an on-call commitment)
Role Summary
The Consultant Psychiatrist will lead a multidisciplinary clinical team, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves clinical leadership, service development, and collaboration with external partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical care in General Adult Psychiatry, with a focus on neuropsychiatry or neurodegenerative illness.
* Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, supporting best practices in clinical governance and service delivery.
* Develop and implement innovative approaches to patient care.
* Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
* Engage in teaching, training, and research activities in collaboration with academic institutions.
Requirements
* Specialist registration with the Medical Council of Ireland in Psychiatry.
* Experience in neuropsychiatry or neurodegenerative illness.
* Proven leadership in clinical settings with an ability to drive service improvements.
* Strong teaching and research capabilities.
* Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
