Operations Manager Furniture Industry Roscommon
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the manufacturing, installation, logistics, and project execution teams across Ireland and the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven operational leadership in the furniture or fit-out industry.
About the Role:
As Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that high-quality furniture products are manufactured, delivered, and installed efficiently and on time. You will lead cross-functional teams, streamline operations, and drive continuous improvements across production, logistics, and site installations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operations across manufacturing, logistics, and installation functions.
* Oversee furniture production schedules, warehouse management, delivery logistics, and on-site installations.
* Lead, motivate, and develop production, logistics, and project execution teams across Ireland and the UK.
* Implement operational best practices to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines.
* Ensure all furniture installations meet quality standards and client expectations.
* Manage and integrate ERP systems for production planning, inventory, and logistics tracking.
* Maintain compliance with ISO standards and health and safety regulations (including ISO14001).
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in operations, logistics, or project management within the furniture, fit-out, or manufacturing industries.
* Strong leadership skills with a successful track record managing production and installation teams.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
* Solid experience with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
* Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and inventory control.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to manage operational budgets, schedules, and installation deadlines.
Desirable:
* Green Belt certification (Six Sigma) or equivalent process improvement qualification.
* Prior experience overseeing complex furniture manufacturing and installation projects.
* Change management experience within a scaling or growing organisation.
* Knowledge of ISO standards and workplace health & safety compliance.
