Our client is currently looking for someone to manage the day-to-day operation of the engineering storeroom, ensuring effective material control, accurate inventory management, and a safe, audit-ready environment that supports site engineering and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate the engineering storeroom in line with site policies, procedures, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
2. Apply current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all activities.
3. Complete required site training and maintain up-to-date operational knowledge.
4. Receive, process, and record deliveries through the customer ERP system in accordance with storeroom SOPs.
5. Distribute materials to designated site locations and notify relevant stakeholders.
6. Pick, issue, and support material requests for maintenance work orders; assist with material location queries.
7. Maintain accurate logbooks (. key control, high-value items).
8. Perform daily cycle counts and report discrepancies to the site manager.
9. Maintain storeroom housekeeping, safety, and audit readiness at all times.
10. Manage VMI stock counts, identify potential stock-outs and slow-moving items, and complete scheduled cabinet stock checks.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
11. Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
12. Manual handling equipment experience/training.
13. Experience with ERP systems (desirable).
14. Strong teamwork and communication skills with good numeracy.
15. Knowledge of warehousing systems and inventory control.
16. Conscientious, reliable, and detail-focused with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
